Benjamin Rau and Elizabeth Rau are leaving KMMG along with The Asylum Ministries. While we are leaving KMMG, we are not parting ways with the vast majority of the ministers and ministries of which we have previously been a part.  Our plans for The Asylum are to re-examine the mission, vision, and dreams of our past leaders: Zoe Karaker, Rose Kurczab, and Donna Sheehy and re-dedicate ourselves to the goals that inspired us all in the creation of both AudioFeed and KMMG.  But we are not going out all by our lonesome: We are coming into a partnership that has been building for over 2 years with Josiah Center Outreach and MN Streets of Hope in order to continue to pursue the mission, vision, and goals that have brought The Asylum this far.  For those interested in who was part of this decision and who has the authority to speak for The Asylum Ministries: Benjamin and Elizabeth RauShaun and Faith HaysTodd and Kelley Finney, and Travis Philips

Please keep all parties involved with both The Asylum Ministries and KMMG in a great amount of prayer as The Lord leads both of our organizations through this season of growth and change…  Going forward, know that The Asylum plans on continuing to partner with many of the core ministers in KMMG – we hope that this sends a clear message to all that “this” is not not a church split, but a transplant of both ministries into new things that are at the core values for each of us …

Rick Bileu (Head of the KMMG Presbytery) has stated that he would very much like to work with us on the grounds at AudioFeed in 2020; unfortunately the AudioFeed Administration has decided that they no longer want The Asylum or  KMMG at AudioFeed…  Maybe we will work something out at one of the other events The Asylum will be at in 2020 – Events that will be announced over this Holiday Season…

Chris Middendorf (Member of the KMMG Presbytery and Nailed to The Cross Ministry) has been a long time supporter, friend, and patron of The Asylum and he has been talking with us about the possibility of working with The Asylum on branching out to do SteamPunk Conventions, specifically one in Hanible, MO…  Not sure when we might be able to make this a reality, but it is definitely something we will be praying about and considering …

Mike Kerby (Former Member of the KMMG Presbytery and Head of Jesus Outsider Ministries) has expressed interest in speaking with The Asylum in the future and possibly collaborating on conferences/conventions in the future.  Little known fact is that it has been a long time goal for The Asylum to be actively a part of National and International mainstream conferences and conventions.  Nothing is set in stone, but there is a definite interest in keeping cooperation and collaboration alive and well…

Nick Grey (Member of the KMMG Presbytery) has been a long friend of The Asylum and has a long history with subcultures and other disenfranchised groups.  He is interested and currently in discussion with us in regards to teaching and speaking with us in the future.

Shaun Hays (Member of the KMMG Presbytery and Head of Uganda One, the US side of Uganda Fire International) has been a continued friend of The Asylum and a supporter of all we have striven toward for many years.  The Asylum continues to collaborate with Shaun and B Hallen in Uganda for the further caring and support of widows and orphans in any way we can; including saving an orphanage from closure by the Ugandan Government in November in order to keep these children in a facility where they are being tended to and raised by men and women of Faith…

Travis Philips (Member of the KMMG Presbytery and Owner of Fear not Studios), has a long history with Christian Subcultures and is a good friend of the Asylum.  He is our webmaster; and is an active part of collaborative efforts for The Asylum to be part other music festivals and events going forward.

Stay tuned for further Asylum Announcements and News throughout this holiday season!  We love you all and we would love to be standing with you in prayer in whatever The Lord is leading you through in this season…
